Music Band
School Music band was recently started by our music teacher Mr. Dhammika Herath. The students were trained in a very short period, but they were able to perform well in the primary concert as a result of their hard work and team effort.
Cadet Team
The cadet team was started under the guidance of Mrs. P. A. C. Kumari. It’s the hardest working team who brighten the school name island wide brings a reputation to Kuli/Holy Angels Girls’ college. The Cadet Team won the Senior Police Women IGP Cup in 2022 & 2023 in two consecutive years.
Innovative Club
The innovative club is continued under the guidance of Mr. W C. Wijesinghe. 45 students have joined to this club from different grades. Any students can participate for competitions presenting their own innovative idea. They can have technical support from the school.
Scouting
First Scouting team was started on March 8th, 2017 under the guidance of Mrs. Nilanka Sathkumara with 80 students. Their ceremony of wearing membership medals was held on March 28th, 2018. Then teacher-in charge’s award was obtained on Dec 6th 2019 and the wearing of that medal was held on Feb 20th 2020
Our scouts participated for a four day training camp which had been named as “Icc Scout group friendship camp-2020” at Nika/Wari/ Isipathana Vidyalaya on Feb 11th 2021 and its grant of certificates was done at the end of the program.
In 2022, our scouts won the 7 days challenge-social media award at the messenger of peace color award ceremony. They wore medals as “Rovers” on November 3rd 2023.
From Grade 6, the students can take part in scouting as an extra-curricular activity.
Red Cross
Red Cross is another opportunity to develop and strengthen school’s first aid unit. Students are practiced by external coach under the assistance of School’s science and Health teachers. The teacher-in charge of this team is Mrs. H.M.A. Chandrasekara. There are 105 members in Red Cross team.
Chess Club
Grade 6-9 students can choose chess and practice it as an extra curricular activity. It is practiced by an external coach and assist by Mrs. Chandana Rupasinghe. Chess helps to develop students’ creativity, focusing ability, boost planning skills, improve memory etc. At present, the number of members is 64.
Media Unit
Media unit is conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Srimathie Adhikari Menike. Morning assembly, Religious Observances, announcing, school bell, News reading, prayers are done by Media Unit. At present, there are 60 members in the media unit and they take part in different activities.
